Go Speed Racer!

I would just like to let everyone know that I thought the Speed Racer movie was SWEET! I don’t think the critics judged it correctly. Yes it’s doing horrible in sales, but don’t let that stop you from going to see it.

Here is a positive quote taken from www.ivc2.com :

“On the positive side audiences treated Speed Racer a good deal better than the critics, giving the film an “A-“ grade on Cinemascore, which could mean that good word of mouth will help the film in the coming weeks.  If Speed Racer doesn’t pick up momentum at the box office, or later on DVD where its prospects could be considerably better, it will likely spell trouble for companies producing Speed Racer toys and merchandise. “

 

So there you have it. Go see the movie. Don’t believe the bad reviews. Critics are crazy, this movie is awesome!

I Am Iron Man

The movie, overall, was solid. They didn’t add any cheezy humor (or not humor) with Iron Man using powers to do stupid things (yes I’m refering to the cheeziness of Fantastic 4). The suit looked sweet, and not very CG, which is good.
I thought Robert Downey Jr did an excellent job. His character was very confident and entertaining.

The movie definitely gave hints of sequal. Possibly War Machine and Avengers stuff happening in the future. Make sure to sit through the credits to see the bonus scene.

I would probably see this movie twice. My brother in law and I saw it on Friday night. We were comparing the movie to other comic book movies that are already out. I came to the conclusion that it would be in my top 3 of comic book movies (Xmen and Spider Man are a part of that top 3). Keep in mind that I haven’t seen every comic movie out there, and that I’m mostly talking about the Marvel and DC films.

Anyway, go see it. It’s worth it.

Stryper: Makes Me Want To Sing

I’m feeling a little nostalgia right now. This is my favoritist Stryper song ever. Enjoy. Watch for the high notes, they come with hilarious facial expressions.

Wendy’s buy out: It’s his fault…

Many of you are aware that Wendy’s has been bought out by Arby’s. Well, I just so happen to work next to one of the greatest Wendy’s restaurants in Columbus, OH. This Wendy’s is fast, friendly, and has quality fast food. Just look at their menu, it’s pretty much greatness all over the board. Good sandwiches, nuggets, salads, wraps, frostys, frosty floats. The options are endless.

So where did Wendy’s go wrong? Easiest answer. Advertising! Ever since Dave Thomas, founder of Wendy’s, past away, Wendy’s had gone a totally different direction with their advertisements. For example, him:

Why? …….This man, that whig. It’s bad. I believe this man single handedly destroyed Wendy’s with bad hair and bad acting. As far as I know, you don’t want your marketing to seem like it’s making fun of the company, but that’s exactly what happened here. These lame comercials cheapified Wendy’s and the quality image that they have had through the years.

Anyway, is anyone else upset at Wendy’s marketing? but at the same time in love with there food? That’s my dilema. Anyway, hopefully Arby’s allows Wendy’s restaurants to continue; otherwise, they could go the MTV route and make Arby’s 2. Whatever, anyway I’m done venting. Blah.

Why I like Orange

Some of you may know that orange has been my favorite color since childhood. There are many things that I enjoy that are orange, but I would have to say the leading cause of my love for orange is Michelangelo of TMNT. This guy had the sweetest weapon (nunchucks) and basically the best lines in the comic book and TV show. Everyday I would practice my self taught ninjitsu, make nunchucks out of paper towel tubes, and yell “Cowabunga!”. Ninja Turtles is probably why I love eating pizza as well. My mother told me that I wouldn’t even give pizza a chance until I got into Ninja Turtles. So there you have it. I just wanted to come out into the open about this. I love orange…..and pizza.

What is this new devilry?

It’s the new Orange Frosty Float from Wendy’s. I was going thru the drive-thru today at lunch and found an advertisement for this float. I was instantly craving an orange frosty float. It’s so good. It’s Orange!

I totally agree.

Sure it’s easy to just post a bunch of videos. I can totally justify it too, cuz I edited and uploaded them to YouTube. I didn’t just find some random video and post for a cheap blog entry. This is hard work, people! Let me tell you… I just did.  Anyway, for those of you who would rather read than watch videos. This post is here for you.
